In Active Life Year 6 have been continuing with their map skills this week and have looked at orientating maps, which has helped us to complete a difficult orienteering task out on the school field!

Year 6 loved a different kind of grammar, punctuation and spelling session today! Thank you to 'The Punctuation Show' for an interactive skills session.

Year 6 SATs are finally finished! They have worked extremely hard this week and have enjoyed gymnastics and our Just Dance breaks in-between. Year 6 also showed their teamwork skills by creating sculptures out of spaghetti and play-doh to celebrate the end of SATs!

Year 6 LOVED their residential at Moor House! We learned different skills and enjoyed spending time with our friends!
Activities: Pioneering, Cave bus, Crate building, food making, Leap of Faith, field games, rifle shooting and a huge campfire!

Congratulations to our Year 6 friend Izzie, for winning the Newcastle's Schools Achievement award on Monday!
'Izzie is a confident, mature young girl and has had an outstanding year in her final year of primary school. She has been an asset to the school in her role as student leader and is extremely hard-working and conscientious. Her biggest achievement this year has been her personal growth. Throughout the year, Izzie has shown remarkable determination, resilience and self-belief and embraced challenges that have taken her way out of her comfort zone. She has not only grown in her own self-confidence, but has also inspired others with her positivity and determination. Well done, Izzie!'
