Summer 2024

Year 4 have had a busy week back. They have been discovering a variety of scales for weight and capacity, in maths. In English, we have been debating and balancing arguments for our discussion topic.
Year 4 had a super dance class. Our dance teacher was amazed at how well we did!
Today, we had a whole school tennis taster day. Our new friend came into school to promote a super initiative to improve local tennis facilities in parks in our area. Get down to these parks and play! We had great fun.
Y4 enjoyed a sewing session in DT. It was a lot harder than we thought. One of our friends had experience and was able to help everyone (including her teacher)! We practiced different sewing techniques including backstitch, whipstitch and running stitch...we may need some more practice but it was a great start!
Y4 have enjoyed a library visit to read for pleasure and we have started our balanced agrument discussion texts.
Some of our Year 4 friends really enjoyed their afternoon on the climbing frame. We had great fun!
Y4 enjoyed a child-led celebration of the word, this week. Some of our friends organised how we gather together, listen to the word, respond and go forth into the world to practice what we have heard.
Year 4 celebrated their First Holy Communion with family and friends - what an amazing day! Readings and dancing were exceptional and enjoyed by the whole parish. We couldn't have done it without the support of our Year 4 classmates - Thank you!
