After School Club
Notice of Change to Hours and Pricing
Thank you to everyone who completed our recent survey re: the opening hours and pricing of St Cuthbert’s After School Club.
As a result of the outcomes of the survey, we have decided to extend our After School Club provision to 6.00pm Monday to Thursday and 5.00pm on a Friday from week beginning Monday 15 May 2023.
Our After School Club provision is very competitively priced already and we can support parents in this way because we run the club ourselves and do not use expensive external providers like most other schools do. However, we must ensure that the After School Club is able to pay for itself so that we are not having to use any of our main school budget, which is already extremely stretched, to subsidise this provision.
Considering the number of parents/carers who need this provision and for St Cuthbert’s to meet health and safety and statutory safeguarding requirements, our pricing for After School Club will now be as follows:

Please note:
- After School Club is run by school governors and as such, all our school policies and procedures, including our safeguarding and child protection policies will apply.
- After School Club is Term Time only and only open to children who attend St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School (Reception Class - Year 6).
- Cost of childcare from 3pm up until 4pm inclusive is £5 per child.
- Cost of childcare from 3pm up until 5pm inclusive is £10 per child, (e.g., following collection from homework/curriculum clubs etc.).
- Sibling discount of £1 for sessions up until 5pm. 1st child £10, siblings £9.
- Sibling discount of £1 for sessions up until 6pm. 1st child £15, siblings £14.
- Ad-hoc bookings may be accepted, staffing levels permitting. Please contact the school office to confirm availability by 09:30 am on the day.
- 48 hours’ notice of cancelling a booked session must be given, otherwise full payment will be due.
- Children who are not at school due to illness will not be charged.
- Invoices will be issued at the beginning of the month following attendance and must be paid by the due date.
- We accept card payments on the SIMs Pay360 system and childcare vouchers quoting ref 3QR/ASC Child’s Name. If you wish to pay by childcare vouchers, please advise the office of your provider. If you do not have access to pay on-line, we can provide you with a barcode to pay at The Post Office or at any Pay-Point outlet.
- PLEASE NOTE if any fees are outstanding you will NOT be able to book any more sessions for your child until the balance is paid. The school office will contact you to discuss this.
Our After School Club provision opening hours and pricing will remain under termly review. If there are not enough children accessing the provision after 5.00pm, the opening hours or pricing of the provision may need to change.
