Y5 have enjoyed their last day before moving to the 'top of the shop' and Y6. After all the hard work and progress made, we've enjoyed a more leisurely day. Have a lovely summer, Y5! Y5 rounded off our week with a transition session in Y6 and our summer cube jar activity afternoon. It was a lovely day to play outside. Y5 thoroughly enjoyed our Ice pop Friday. We chose our favourite colour from staff. Whilst eating them, we sat and chatted in the sunshine. A perfect Friday! Y

Year 5 and 6 thoroughly enjoyed chess after school club this half term. They joined the club with a range of skill, knowledge and experience of the game and all left confident after practising their skills and challenging classmates and teachers.

Y5 took a trip to Newcastle Civic Centre for a language morning. We learnt all about the Yoruba language and culture. We listened to stories, discussed food, sung, danced, played the drums and got dressed up. It was quite the spectacular! Thank you to Victoria and her friends for this most welcome and informative workshop. Year 5 enjoyed art and reading about St Cuthbert. Some of our pupils from Year 5 and 6 visited Kenton Hall Care Home this week, to spend some time with the residents and complete some spooky crafts. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved and we are really excited to continue to make links between school and the care home.
