Year 5 have had a brilliant start to the term! In Geography this week, we began looking at climates and the link between the equator and the temperature of a country.

Year 2 have loved catching up with their friends this week and have made a fabulous start to the new school year!

Year 1 have had a fantastic first week! We've acted out the story of 'Oliver Twist', made up our rules for the workhouse, explored the classroom and had a brilliant time with our friends!

We have had great fun in our first week of Nursery. We have explored the Rainbow Garden and had lots of fun playing with the new toys and making new friends.

The children have settled really well into our Reception class. They have loved making new friends and exploring all of the Reception toys. They love having toast in the morning after they've had time to play

'Year 4 have made a fabulous start to the year! We have started out new topic in Science 'States of Matter' where we played a game of Solid, Liquid or Gas which the children enjoyed so much! We are going to have a great time in year 4!'

Our fantastic Mr Bright was nominated for (and won!) the North East, Inspiring History Teaching award for his amazing work with Historic England, developing our local history curriculum and creating a great local heritage trail for our area. We had a fantastic time at our end of term ‘Nursery Fun Day’. We played party games, danced in the hall and had lots of fun and laughter. Have a lovely Summer Nursery! Nursery have been exploring everything under the sea. We decided to make our own sea life collage: we decorated some fabulous fish and stunning seahorses. We have also explored lots of sea themed tuff trays. Nursery were so surprised when we discovered our very own beach and ice cream van in the Role Play Room.

Year 4 have worked hard all week to create their own portable lamps, made from recycled materials!. We also got to celebrate a full cube jar afternoon in own clothes and played with our toys. Y5 have enjoyed their last day before moving to the 'top of the shop' and Y6. After all the hard work and progress made, we've enjoyed a more leisurely day. Have a lovely summer, Y5!
