Year2 enjoyed having some competitive races in our session with Reception and Year 1 this week
Year 2 had a wonderful time connecting with nature at Scotswood Community Nature Garden!
Year 2 have been learning about the different micro-habitats in our school grounds. They found loads of creatures in our Forest area
Year 2 loved their Local History trip to the Victoria Tunnel, which was followed by a walk to the Quayside to visit the sites and memorials of the Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead
Year 2 have had a great time exploring how we might sort and organise data in Computing.
Year 2 have been inspired by nature to draw still life using a range of media, including watercolours, charcoals and oil pastels

In Science, Year 2 have planted a variety of seeds to see how plants grow in different conditions. We can't wait to see how they develop!
Year 2 have created artwork inspired by local artist Sarah Hill. We have learned about the coal mining heritage of Kenton, which we've reflected in our art
