Christmas Fair Update

Friday 9th December from 2pm until 4pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

St Cuthbert’s PTFA have been busily preparing for our new style Christmas Fair which is being held on Friday 9 December between 2 and 4pm in the school halls. We were planning on doing some activities outdoors but the weather forecast is bleak so we will be hosting the entire fair inside. There will still be a variety of table top games, a raffle and lots of other activities for the children and our families to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who was able to donate items for the raffle on our ‘Bring a prize’ for the raffle Non-uniform/Own Clothes Day. All of your donations are very much appreciated.

Any families wishing to attend from 2pm with their children, would enter the school grounds as normal, collect their child/children and then come around to the main entrance of school to attend the fair and then leave at their leisure.

Any families wishing to attend with their children from 3pm would just collect their child as normal and then go around to the main entrance to enter the fair. This will support St Cuthbert’s with all of our safeguarding procedures.

Please note the following:

  • Any children wishing to attend the Christmas Fair between 2pm and 4pm must be accompanied by their parents or carers.
  • There will be stalls on offer selling sweets, juice, hot dogs, teas, coffees etc. with prices ranging from 10p to a £1.
  • There will also be a range of activities available for the children to enjoy at 50p per activity. Please bring plenty of change with you, if possible.
  • There will be raffle tickets on sale on the day. The raffle will be drawn at 3.45pm.

In addition to the above, we will have a few staff available in school to support any of our older KS2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6) children wishing to attend the Christmas Fair but whose parents/carers can’t make it. Any KS2 children whose parents/carers can’t attend between 2 and 4pm will be able to access the Christmas Fair between 1 and 2pm.

Can you please complete the survey that will follow by Thursday 8 December to help us with our organisation for the afternoon.

If there is anything you would like to discuss or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support of St Cuthbert’s; it is really very much appreciated by us all.

Best wishes,

Mrs Anne Bullerwell

Headteacher
