Dissecting a Seed
 
Year 2 learned all about the parts of a seed by dissecting the seed of a broad bean plant. We saw the embryonic plant, the foot store and the hard coat. 
 
 
Florence Nightingale D&T
 
Year 2 have designed and built Florence Nightingale style lanterns in D&T.  Their design had to meet two main criteria: 
  1. Can it hold a tea light? 
  2. Can it be held using the handle?
As you can see, the lanterns look brilliant!
