Well done to the Year 5 children who completed their level 2 Bikeability award this week!
 
 
 
 
 
Year 5 absolutely LOVED using our newly decorated and refurbished library this week - it was lovely to sit back and enjoy a book! They have also been perfecting their strumming skills in their ukulele lessons.
In RE, Year 5 enjoyed taking part in a drama activity where they created a conscience alley to decide whether or not Judas should have betrayed Jesus.
 
 
 
 
Year 5 had great fun practising a range of skills in their ukulele lesson this week.
 
 
 
 
 
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed a very practical science lesson this week where they worked together to separate a range of different mixtures that Mr Bright had created!
 
 
Year 5 enjoyed their final CHEFF session this week and made delicious burritos. They even got to eat them as a mid-morning snack!
 
 
Year 5 made a delicious one-pot spag bol in DT. They created posters for #SaferInternetDay and used some very complicated software in computing to edit their own videos.
 
 
Year 5 have had another great week! They have spent lots of time outside during art finding different textures and re-enacting a pilgrimage to Mecca as part of our RE topic on Islam. They also cooked a delicious tikka wrap in design and technology.
 
 
Number Day
This week, Year 5 have enjoyed a Now Press Play session learning about the five pillars of Islam, making a tasty gnocchi dish in design and technology and creating pictures using shading to create tone in art.
 
 
Year 5 have had a great week this week! They have enjoyed learning about the Early Islamic Empire in history, cooking delicious food in Design and Technology and experimenting with different camera angles and filming techniques in computing.
 
 
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their first CHEFF session this week. They made 'pizzadillas' and learned about different food groups.
 
 
Robinwood
 
Year 5 had a fabulous start to the spring term with an amazing residential to Robinwood in Alston!
