Autumn 2022

Zippy's Friends
Year 2 have a friend called Zippy that looks after them and have enjoyed getting started in our brand new 'Zippy's Friends' book, where we will do lots of work to support the children's mental health and wellbeing.
To help us understand how to write instructions, Year 2 followed a set of instructions to tell them how to make a jam sandwich! Tasty!
We've been learning loads of new skills in our Gymnastics sessions!
Oil Pastels
We've been using pastels to create different drawing styles.
We've been learning about materials and their properties. Here we are exploring the school to find objects that are made from different materials.
In Art, we have been experimenting with different techniques of painting with watercolours and learning how to create different effects and styles.
Counting in 2s
We have been learning how to count in 2s - including the smelliest counting activity ever!
Wellbeing Room
Year 2 visited our wellbeing room and have made some art linked to the theme of 'our feelings' to go on display in the art gallery that will be situated in the room.
Fire Engines
In D&T we designed and built fire engines with working axles and sliders!
Year 2 loved making use of the school's amazing apparatus!
Year 2 had a visit from the Dentist today who taught us all about how to care for our teeth!
We have loved learning to play the Ocarina!
We've been performing some of our amazing poems to the rest of the class! How fun!
Here are some photos of our festive celebrations!
